When Diann was a new baby, for some reason we knew that Diann would be the last baby in the family. She and Hilton were close buddies. Her curly hair and soft cheeks kept us all loving on her and carrying her around.
Once when she was sitting on the ground she began to scream. I rushed to her and there were ants all over her. I grabbed her up and began to scream for help. Mother and the girls and I stripped off her clothes and brushed off the ants. Mother took over and put cool water on her. I still remember how my heart hurt when I saw those terrible ants.
She loved dolls all of her life. She kept most of her dolls and put them on her bed even after she married.
Diann attended college in St. George, Utah. She spent Christmas with us, and we took her to the Boulder Dam and to see the lights of Vegas.
When Ron and Diann were married in the St. George Temple, Ron and his parents spent the night with us then. We traveled to St. George for a lovely wedding.
She and Ron lived in Texas for a while then they moved to the farm to help Mother and Daddy. Soon they bought a mobile home and lived across the road from the farm house. Diann had a janitorial job and later worked at the pants factory. She helped with the tractor work on the farm. Mother and Diann enjoyed taking the white farm truck, shopping, and then eating KFC chicken.
We love her and miss her. She finished her mission on Earth and we know she’s with family and helping others.
